You got it 👍

Unless missing steering wheel adapter if you want to maintain those

Also I would look at different headunits

Yes, I would like to keep those! So i would need that too?

And what do you mean? And why? Are those not good?

Ps- Sorry, lots of questions

Yup you'll need a steering wheel adapter for whatever brand HU you'll choice

Personally I love Pioneers and you can usually find good deals on them.

Is this what i need??

And alright, ill look into those!!

Ok! I just looked it up. I like that one a lot. Any problems or anything with it?

And do you still have that auto volume that you have with the factory radio?

Nope no problems at all with it ever. Will be selling it soon to fund some other projects

What do you mean by auto volume sorry it's been forever since I used a stock headunit.

The GMOS -04 adapter is for cars with factory amp( Monsoon) in your case. If you do not have the Monsoon center dash speaker then you do not have the Monsoon system and then you would need a GMOS-01 adapter

Like when my car accelerates, the volume goes up (auto volume) i figure i probably won't have that with a new one?

I do have the Monsoon center dash speaker. So with any headunit i get, Kenwood or Pioneer, ill have to get that GMOS -04 adapter right?

Yes, unless of course you plan on removing the Monsoon amp, or bypassing it, or replacing it with an aftermarket amp, as many have, then the GMOS-01 is the one you need.
Clear as mud ....right!!

From what I understand, the Monsoon system is linked to the ECU to enable the automatic volume adjustments both up and down, based on engine speed, along with satallite equipment if equipped...making it a PITA when changing out at times....

The only thing I could add is if your looking to use an Iphone/ipod for you music you will need to purchase the adapter cord that would be made for whichever HU you pick.

So if i want subs, i can put another amp in for the subs too? or ill have to take out the monsoon amp and replace it with another one?
