What do i do first?

I ordered HP Tuners. It should be here tomorrow. I want to tune the car for an e50 blend because i have e85 available locally, and I have KR on my current setup. Once I get some bigger injectors, I will go full E85

Currently im running a blend around e30. and im still seeing KR. (mods: DP, 3.5, 180tstat, K&N drop in, Autolite 104s)

What I am trying to figure out is what to do first.

1. use the method in the Ethanol tuning guide to set my fueling ~115%, THEN work on tuning the car, dialing in timing, fuel trims etc.

Or

2. Get the car back on pump gas, deal with timing and fueling, THEN switch it over to e50, and fiddle with timing etc.

FWIW, im seeing ~3* KR at wot, and some odd spikes at lower boost/ rpm. on pump gas 93, im seeing 7-8

first thing I would do if you want to get rid of the kr is see where the kr shows up, then pull timing from those cells.

I would use the cylinder gain method to tune for the E50 ish or whatever you want to run. scan for injector duty cycle and see how much headroom you have with your fuel, then if you aren't at 100% IDC, up the ethanol percentage. I bet you can run full E85 on stock injectors with a 3.5 pulley, but the only way to find is to try it.

You probably can run a 3.5 on stock injectors with e85. Even if your idc does hit 100% or more, it's still not the end of the world. They can still supply enough fuel.

I think im on about a 30% blend right now, and my IPW was 17ms I think? it goes to 25. if so, that gives me a solid 30% overhead (is there any way to see a percentage in hpt?)

I wonder what kind of pulley i can drop to once i get injectors.
