hey guys.just wondering if you can tell me what vehicle to look for to get compatable powertrain parts from for my 2000 gtp,i know buicks have a 3.8 but not sure how compatable it is.also do the 2004-05 gp have the same style engine,tranny combo?(will the sc work on my 2000/will my sc work on the newer motor?ect.
reason for asking is ive decided to pretty much drop my z34's for this car.(she is a keeper)so i need to stock pile parts(i finnaly visited zzperformance website), i can bid on damaged or total loss vehicles.with low milage.so plz,can you help me out a bit?
 


buick 3.8 is the same as the 97-03: alot of stuff is compatible across ALL years, but, not everything. Ex: blower from 04+ is different from 97-03 and are not straight up compatible. It requires a few other changes.
 
ok,i just bought another gp,but this one is a 2002 4 door,it has 100000km on it,motor does not have a super charger,how much differance is there between the s/c motor and the non s/c motor?same sensors and fuel injectors,ect?just the intake is different.my plan is for this 2002 gp to be a parts car for my 2000 daytono gtp,how much of my parts car will i actually be able to use?
