What are these attach to the wire loom for Digital DIC (98 GP)

I was looking to replace my analog DIC with a Digital. I have read the threads on this and other forums. I seen the hack to get a NON-97 digital DIC to work on a 97. My question is what are these parts ('Yellow' #1 and 'Blue' #2) attached to the wire loom. When I pulled it from the donor, I cut the wire high enough to include them since I did not know what they are....

Part 1 is the RFA aka Remote Function Actuator aka .. what receives the signal from your remote control.
Part 2 a bit tough to make it out under the foam, and I forget what it is anyhow

The red light, it's a GP security light blinky thing that I've never read up on to make sense of when it blinks
Middle bubble is the climate control solar sensor
Right side is the photocell sensor to turn the headlights on automatically.

I pull back the curtain, turned out to be a connector. I guess since it is a male plug they wrapped it with some super sticky tar like stuff to keep it from shorting out. I guessing it might be the analog DIC.

While I am asking dumb questions, what are these lights on the top of the dash?

I'm guessing that the red LED on the left is the security light that flashes when the car's content protection is armed by locking the car with the remote. The center looks like the ambient light sensor that turns the automatic headlights on. I'm not sure about the function of the thing on the right.

Doug...the info is above.

BTW Bronco.. #2 how sure are you that it's the analog DIC connector? Looks alot lihe the second cluster connector.

When I was compiling my parts to do the digital DIC swap, I dove into the dash to see if I had both connectors. I didn't, and my analogue DIC connector looks just like the above image. I agree that it does look like the cluster connector, but it is part of the DIC wiring, so it can't be cluster related.
