• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

soooooooooooo tonight i stopped at the house fast cauzse the girl had to get "her boots" before we went to the bar. so i decided to put some washer fluid in while i was waitin on her. spied half a bottle of lucas oil treatment so figured id dump that in. so i spilled a bit and it caught fire. institivly grabbed the washer fluid and dumped it on the motor. not even thinkin bout the oil filler. not sure how much but enought to see it bubbling in the valve cover but i got washerfluid in the crank case. car ran about 5 seconds before shutdown. instantly pulled pan plug. am i screwed?

No it should be fine. Drain it. Refill. Go for a drive. Re drain etc. Make take a few cycles.
EDIT: Don't go for a drive. Just start it and let it idle...wtf was I typing?

OH NO!, Thats terrible news...I feel for ya man. Hopefully you can find another l67 to drop in.

Hopefully its not toast

No way in hell 5 seconds worth of running with water in there is gunna **** anything up, in 5 seconds not even half of the oil in the crank case can get sent throughout the engine. People run coolant for miles in there motors before bearing failure happens.

You are fine.

thanks for the hope dude, idk why dudes gotta be dicks on here just because. like, really.

i got 2 oil change jugs and a new delco filter . gonna be up early tomoro. so how would you go bout flushin it.? i got it slightly jacked with the plug out for the night.

put like 3 quarts in it, run it for a few seconds, shut if off, drain it, then fill it with 5 quarts and thats it. any minimal amounts of water will get burned off by the heat of the engine.
