• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Kudos on your new venture.

I dunno though, man. The best numbers I've ever seen pulled at any SQ circuit were always in the less is more type range. As in 1 sub, 1 amp, etc. installed in smaller cars inside...

Good luck. Anxious to see what you come up with.

Well since it is a daily driver I don't expect to be going to world finals or anything, although it would be awesome to go back again as more than a spectator. Gary Biggs has a regal and and has one both sq comps and spl comps, so maybe I can pull it off, haha. But then again I am no Gary Biggs, and I dont have room for an 8" sub in the glove box, 2 Huge 15's in the trunk, with a fully glassed interior.

but it would be fun to try

go the William Burton way and make everything out of glass (I got to help on his regal at one point that thing was sweet)

Well I really dont have much to update other than I got all the sound deadening in, carpet reinstalled and added some neons under the seat and some strobes under the dash and in the grille. I did take a few pics but not much, because nothing important was really done today.

neon placement

forgot to turn the flash off, but they are on in this pic.

I believe that people should never use this to control turning on and off your neons, because 1) it is really "ricer like" and 2) it is intrusive, messy, ugly, and not as nice as turning them on with a switch.

backwhen i had my old car i had a 4 way cig lighter hidden under my dash and i had tht hard wired to an acc. block in the fuse panel so when i turned the car on the rader and neons came on...pretty nice and no wires showing.

why not just hard wire the whole thing and bypass the cig lighter plugs? A plug is just more to hide, especially a 4 way plug, and if you are going to all that trouble to hard wire it to a fuse block why not just get rid of it altogether. Everybody has their own way of doing things, especially me, but it just makes sense to get rid of the bulky plugs.

not to mention 1 less failure point

the only thing tht was hardwired was the 4 way because i planned on putting the rader in my new car and i was going to sell the neons so i didnt want to cut the wires so it made sense to just plug the neons and rader into the 4 way and just have 4 way connected to the fuse block.

I didn't forget about this guys! Sorry I haven't updated it lately. I have been halla busy w/ work and upholstery jobs!

Although some things have changed since my last post. I have been called out by another local best buy installer from another store, and have to be judged by some slightly modified iasca rules.

The rules:
1)Must be best buy product, down to the last piece of wire on the audio system.
2)Must be paid for out of installer's own pocket, no corporate help, only dealer pricing.
3) judged on: sound staging, spl output (2 runs each of legal and outlaw class rules), also judged on neatness, most custom, and best sounding to average customer. (Number 3 will be judged by 5 different customers 2 past customers from each store, 1 customer randomly picked by the judge from iasca.

I can't post pics yet, because he know I frequent this forum and this thread is what made him call me up and challenge my store's install bay.

Also, this is a friendly challenge, something to help raise morale in the department of both stores, so no bad blood or anything.
