Recently my van started having a weird transmission issue. It's an olds silhouette with a GTP drive train. It will shift into gear, but when I try to move it feels like the car is being held back, almost like how it would feel if you were driving with the e-brake pushed in, but it is definitely not. One day while it was happening I hit the throttle kind of strong and the transmission sort of lurched a little then started driving normally again.
This has happened a couple times before, but usually turning the vehicle off, or shifting into reverse then back into drive would fix it. Today it's started doing it again, in reverse and in drive, but no amount of turning it off or rowing through the gears seems to fix it. Whenever this issue happens the ABS, TCS, and brake light will be shining on the dash as well.
Anyone familiar with this issue?
