Weird speedometer issue, possible trans issue?

Had to have the trans rebuilt last year, and I've been having some other issues popping up since then. This one is most annoying, the speed goes ...funky now and then (most noticeable on HUD). The most annoying part is that it cancels the cruise control when it happens. I drive on the highway a lot and use the hell out of cruise control. The engine RPM changes a little bit too if the speed dips too far down. Also, the needle gauge does drift slightly, but it just can't physically move fast enough to keep up. Speaking of cruise control, sometimes even without the speed going funky, the cruise control will cancel out for a second - the car feels like it just stops pulling for a second then it picks back up by itself although will still sometimes just cancel completely.

My concern is that the reluctor gear on the diff in the trans was damaged during the re-build. But I noticed this seems to happen more often after wet weather which leads me to think it's a corroded, wet, or loose connection somewhere. Also worth mentioning is the traction control in the car hasn't worked since I bought it in 2011, and still doesn't after the transmission work. That doesn't really concern me as far as drivability, just thought it was worth mentioning since the systems may be related somehow. I have replaced the ABS module because it went bad, but that didn't fix the traction control issue either. Also, the VSS is, with 100% certainty, confirmed to be good. Is it possible it may be a bad wheel bearing, or is it most likely an electrical issue?

Here are a couple videos of what I'm talking about.

may need to check the wiring from the VSS, especially if you say it happens in wet weather. also check the little rubber insulator at the VSS connector

I would start with wiring as mentioned, for the same reasons. Also check the connector at the top of the driverside on the trans.

Are you getting any codes?

No codes, at least that DHP can read. Although I don't have a Tech 2 handy at the moment so I can't check those sorts of codes.
