Weird noise. Dropped the car in second.

On my way home from work today I was traveling at about 25mph. I was bored and decided to drive from drive to 3rd. The Rpms barrely moved, so i droped it to second. After waiting a few seconds a gave it a little gas (30% pedal).

The car jerked a little bit (Not very hard) and I began hearing this wistle noise. I immediately put it into drive. I couldnt exactly tell if the noise was from outside because I had music playing and all windows were down. The car drove normal, but every time I tapped the brakes, the sound would come back.

So everytime I tap the brakes, A will hear a whistle sound. I have never heard it before. I accasionally do listen to see if my brakes are making noise, since I have recently had new ones installed.

So what could it be? Anything possible from the trans? (I hope not!) The car seemed to drive as usual.

Is it bad to drive from drive to 2nd?

Rats!

The only problem I am having with this auto tranny is when you want to give it gas, it gives you 2 options.

1. Is to stay in the gear and go.

2. Drop down 1 or 2 gears and throw the car at 5000RPM. The problem with this is it takes about 3 seconds to drop a gear, the car jurks like all hell. Especially when you just want to pass someone up, you give it gas to give it a boost and the car will jurk. Makes you look bad >:|
