Weird idle problem....

So I started my car today (after driving it about 5 times before that) and the RPMs started at about 1000 and they just kept going up and didn't stop until it hit 2000 RPM.

I though it might be a one time thing so I cut it off and started it again and it did the same thing. I drove it around the neighborhood and the lowest they got was 1100 and that was in drive at a complete stop.

2001 gtp

No codes when I scanned.

Is something broken? Have you guys ever heard of this?

Sounds like a vacuum leak or the tb blade is sticking.
That's what I was thinking but I drove it again after letting it sit and it doesn't do it anymore. Might take the throttle body off tomorrow just to be sure though.

What's the easiest way to check for a vacuum leak?

if you have access to a scanner, check IAC counts, if its less than 30 or so you have a vacuum leak

Vacuum stays at 19 or so. Today it was perfectly normal but in the back of my mind I'm still worried there's a problem that I need to find

To find a vacuum leak; easily...do this.

Set the scan gauge to read STFT and LTFT (short and long term fuel trims)

If at any point idling they peg + or - 16.4, you've got a vac leak.

Plain, and simple.
