WBodystore springs

Anyone ran the new wbodystore springs? I had an old set, the 400/350 progressive set, and they sucked.

They have a new set that is 280/230, linear I think. Anyone ran those?

I've decided not to do coilovers because
A: I don't want to slam the dog piss out of my car this time and destroy my Bilsteins.
And B: I don't want to cut up my Bilsteins.

I like how these springs sit and I also like that they're the stiffest of the drop springs available. I can sacrifice comfort for handling.

Linky for springs.

I have them on right now with Excel-G struts. They're not bad. Potholes make me cringe but you learn to avoid them haha. Pretty sure that's typical for lowering springs. The ride feels better for sure and stiffened up some. These are the only lowering springs I've had though so have nothing to compare them too. I have pictures in my suspension thread that's stickied in here and some in the lowering thread. I think the springs have settled more since those pictures though. You have the info right too I was emailing back and forth with them before buying them.

No there's no bounce. More like a thud going over bumps. Going over the spots in the road that are slightly raise the car goes up down and has recovered.

I think our cars look better with some rake so they got my attention with pointing that out. Not bad

Exactly why I went with those instead eibachs. With the curves on the gp the rears always look like they're sagging to me. Rather not have my car look like a taurus.

I was thinking bout buying they're rear heightening springs, as I have amps and sub woofers back there.. Not to thread jack but has anyone run the rear heightening springs from them?

you're bottoming out the struts. riding bump stops, if you will.

I know you can trim the bump stops but not sure how to do it. Also would springs like these that don't drop the car a lot do it that often? I switched to my winter tires and a lot of the problem has gone away. I figured it had something to do with the springs and the tires with stiffer sidewalls.

potentially the tires.

the bump stops you just cut a small section of them off to shorten them. most of the lowering springs are shorter than stock meaning that the strut travel is diminished. when a large bump comes along that overpowers the shock valving as well as the spring rate it bottoms out the strut into the bump stop and you get a harsh, jarring hit out of it.

my eibachs did it all the time.

So for shortening them do I have to remove the strut and disassemble it? Should it be taken off the top or bottom and how much?

Sorry 4thgen kinda thread-jacking

You could probably do it with them on the car but it'll be more difficult. I'd probably cut them in half. My Bilsteins the bump stops are internal so I can't do anything with them, which is okay.

if that was your problem from the get go, but if you didn't trim the bump stop there's a good chance you're riding on it kinda often.

Alright cool. Sorry for all the questions but what would be the best way to cut them on the car? Think I could get saws-all in there? And I definitely trim all 4?
