Water Pump???

Ok, so I was driving home from work today, and my car was starting to overheat. My friend was behind me and he called me and told me my car just sprayed his with water or something. I pulled over and popped the hood and there was coolant everywhere on the left side. I didn't notice any hoses that came off. My guess is the water pump. Any suggestions...???
 


Is the water pump a pain to replace?

where are the coolant elbows located, my car is parked at a o'reily's right now, I went ahead and bought the water pump. I have to go replace it tomorrow, prolly in their parking lot.
 
the coolant elbow is between the alternator bracket and LIM, little black L shaped piece of plastic.

my water pump did that when it went too lol
