Water Leak......need help....THX

Ok so I searched and found a bunch of stuff about 97-03 GP's. But I have a 04 GTP compG Here's my problem, passenger floorboard is soaked....and I know where its coming from I just need a little bit of help.....
The drain tube that comes from the sunroof, follows the A pillar down to almost the rocker..
I pulled back the carpet and there is a cutout in the pillar where I can reach inside and grab this tube..
It is not connected to anything and just hangs down.

My question is, where does all the water supposed to drain too?????
I guessing something is clogged...
I've tried everything, even removed the plastic ground effect/rocker to see if there is a hole/drain somewhere and nothing...

If anyone could help I really appreciate it...Thanks in advance.

Have you actually seen water come from that tube to be sure that is the source? The 04 GP's have a tsb to fix the water deflector at the base of the windshield by replacing it with a tray to eliminate this problem. This is the most common cause of water on the passenger floor and is so common they had to redesign the water deflector to fix it. If you have not actually seen water coming in, I would start there. Have somebody soak the roof and windshield with a hose while you sit in the car and look for where the water comes in. Good luck.

Ya, unfortunately I have. If you remove the piece of plastic inside of the cabin near the door/floor area there is a small cutout that is on the inside the A pillar; reach inside and you car pull out the bottom of the sunroof drain tubing.

It's wild it like it just lays there and the water drains somewhere> I can't fit my whole hand inside the hole to feel were it's supposed to drain. But it fills up and the only place for the wter to go is inside of the passenger compartment.

I pulled the same panel off of the driver side, it's by the e-brake and the same thing but this one drains great. Drains kinda in-between where the panels come together underneath the car.

Thanks for the heads up about the water deflector though.

04 GP's also had a pretty bad problem with the OnStar antenna on the front/center of the roof leaking. So, one more thing to check for you if you have that.

The front drain tubes for the sunroof run down the inside of the a-pillars and all the way down into the front inner fenders. As water drains out, you will see it come out right behind the front wheels from behind the fender. If you just want to check your drain tubes for blockage, just open your sunroof all the way. From the outside of the car, you will see the drain holes in the front corners of the trough around the inside of the sunroof opening. Just pour a cupful of water into the trough and it should drain out rather quickly through the holes in the corners. You can purposely plug one or the other with your finger to make sure the other one is draining on it's own. It will take both of them to be clear to drain the water out fast enough in a hard rain that the trough doesn't overflow onto the inside of the headliner.

I have also seen the tubes themselves slip off the nipples on the front corners of the sunroof assembly since they aren't really secured to it other than the tubing just stretching over it. If that happens, you will need to drop the headliner enough to reach them, slip them back on, and put a ziptie around them to hold them on securely. Using compressed air to clear them is a good idea, just be aware that if they are really clogged, the compressed air can push the tube off the nipples and then you will get a deluge of water in the headliner until you put the tubes back on.

Good luck.
