Water Leak - Drivers door

I have a 2003 Grand Prix which has been leaking water into the drivers floorboard. It appears to be dripping out of the bottom of the door near the speaker. I can see water there where the rubber weatherstrip runs along the door sill, and a wet trail on the carpet leading down. I have a sloped driveway, and the problem is worse when parked with the nose downhill.

Some time ago, I attempted to seal up a gap where the exterior strip that seals along the bottom of the window meets the rear view mirror area. A little dab of black silicone there seems to have improved the problem. But we had 8 inches of rain last week, and a little is still getting in. Now it's just damp, instead of having standing water like before. Has anyone who has had this issue found a good fix?

you'll need to take the inside door panel off and see wtf is going on in there.

theres supposed to be a plastic cover caulked to the door, if thats loose or missing it could be part of the issue.

I have the same exact problem on the drivers side. The sunroof drain is clear. I have yet to pull the door panel off yet though.

I have this on my coupe and i have determined the door is sagging and the water is leaking in at the door seal flowing down the top of the door and dripping down by the speaker. Its raining now and i can see it. I plan to try to shim the bottom hinge at the door. I did read that there is a cam bolt adjustment but have not been out to see if that true or not. If no adjustment i will try the 1/16" shim and see.

Check you body lines at the rear of the door and see how they line up. Also shut the door with a 1 inch piece of paper in it so you can judge the force to pull it out compared to a known good door seal. I could feel a slight difference from driver side to passenger.

I already checked the sun roof vents by pouring water in them and they drain correctly.

I added a 1/16" shim to the bottom hinge on the door side this weekend. It rained all sat and most of Sunday. Looks like this fixed my water leaking issue. Only thing is now the front fender and door striker need to be adjusted. I am just glade i don,t have puddles in my floor board anymore.

Is there any play in the hinge bolts to try to help align the fender gap and striker latch interaction? I might try that before i try to realign the fender.
