Water in fuel tank

97 grand prix se 3800 wont start. Had a kid tell me somebody was claiming to have dumped two gallons of water in gas tank.
After hearing this i took off lines from the fuel rail and tried to start. It did look like water pumping out.
Can someone give me any ideas on how to fix this problem.? Whats the best way to clean the fuel system of water?

Take the trunk carpet out and remove the fuel pump access panel and take the pump out, then just suck the tank dry and refill with new fuel.

Or just get on/off relay switch and turn the pump on and have the fuel dump into a bucket, or jump the pump.

id also change the fuel filter. after its pumped out and the tank is dry.

with the pump out you should be able to get your arm in there to mop up any gas/water left in the tank.

id also add some dry gas and just a few gallons of gas then run it as low as you dare, then fill up if its back to running ok.

I think ,aybe drain the furl rails too and change the pressure regulator
