Washer Pump Not Working

I bought my 08 Grand Prix wrecked in the right front. The wreck destroyed the washer bucket and pump. I put on a bucket and pump from an 04 but the plug was different, so I cut the the plug from the 08 off and wired in the one off of the 04. I currently can not get the washer pump to work. The wipers turn on, but no signal to the pump. I pulled the pump and connected direct to 12V and it works fine, but when I plug in and run the washers from inside the car, i can't get it to run. I test lighted the plug, and i have no power there when running the washers. Fuses are all good. I am thinking that I probably lost a ground somewhere due to the accident, but wanted some opinions on what else it might be.
 


You have two wires, right.. power and ground

If you test for power while using the battery negative as your ground, then you'll know if you have power. If you do a continutity test to ground, you'll know if you have that.
