ive been reading for about a month now and im still lost in hptuners...

car is a 97 gtp 75k on the odo
speed daddy headers
HAI
Hptuners
and i have a ported supercharger sitting with a 3.4 pully i want to install

yet i donno if i should or if i should tune it for a 3.6 or somethign... if anyone here can help me tune id greatly appreciate it because im so lost

Id get an mps setup and try the 3.6 out and see how much timing you can get out of it. You will get more power out of a setup with more timing and less boost. oh and read nicks tuning guide, It will help out lots. Do you have a wideband?

i have to do without a wideband right now because i have spent my budget.... that will be in the spring... and ive read that one and im still kinda lost.. i dont want to run the 3.4 and be lost on tuning then im going to be screwed... and then if the 3.4 is to much then im screwed because i cant go back up to stock without trying to get the mps hub off

you might as well go 3.4 because if you go 3.6 youd have to really tune it anyways. if you ever drop a pulley, you need to tune.

well i figured that... thats why i bought the tuner... i just need help... if i throw the supercharger on there with the pulley can someone help me tune it???

the car is my DD so im kinda freaking out

things to adjust for dropping pulleys is pull timing and add some fuel. if you want to be even more careful you can increase the attack rate for KR and increase the amt of timing KR would pull. keep in mind this is a starter file... its not like you will run this from then on... it is just so you have a safe starting point. if you have no issues on the first run then raise them back up/ then keep turning them back up till you see the first hint of KR and then back it down a little for safety.

You could always get an MPS hub and purchase a 3.8, 3.4 and 3.6 pulley and see which you can make work. If you have trouble, swap the pulley back to the 3.8 until you get the hang of tuning.

Don't touch that pulley till you've mastered tuning it stock.

I think you will appreciate that with the right tuning even a stock pullied car can go like stink.

If you've leaned it out a whole bunch and still aren't seeing KR at 19* timing on a stock pulley, move on down to a 3.6.

ok well im completly lost in the tunning part... if i knew what everyone was talking about dropping i would do it but im freaking out lol

i want to say its sitting at 14 or so but i havent touched anything on tunnning it yet... plus the IAT sits kinda high with the HAI but i will check a scan i have

ok well ill scan it for about 20 minutes tommarow and send it to you.. i must of deleted the one i had... thanks for the help

ok that sounds awesome... ill get a good scan tommarow then send you a pm sometime tommarow... ill download team viewer right now... thanks alot..

No problem.

You really should look into a wideband though if you want to pulley down much further than a 3.6, Anything else is like firing bullets into a crowd.
