i drove my buddys 1997 formula 350 trans am with lt1 6 speed stick he has long tube headers 3in exhaust and a muroso cold air intake

my real thing is hes to cocky what will it take to bust his ass
can you give me a list of parts i would need and a good place to buuy them thats trusted and reliable.
 


i want to bust his ass what ever that takes on a normal budget i know i could turbo or nitrous just faster that his lt1, i read the modding your 3800 im not a total noob lol will a 3.4 and headers and programe, intake bust his lt1 ass bad?


where are some good places to buy the parts from
 
i dont mind giving ideas and helping people out

So like listed above whats your budget and goals and whats your current car mod level
 
A basic 3.4 with a shelf tune will get you close to keeping up but id say youd need rockers and a smaller pulley to get him along with a strong tune

1998 gtp, money wise not sure just wanted to know what i need to beat him and wanted to see what it would cost.



where is a good place for pulley and pcm what all would i need? also i was thinking the speeddaddy headers i hear people talking about on here.


also the modding 3800 i have done the tune up stuff now need to get to the go fast parts

ok here ya go intense-racing.com zzperformance.com both self every thing you would need

rockers 3.3 pulley open cone in tb headers (sd headers work) and all the suporting mods to go with it
Along with a good tune you might have a chance
 


YA grand prix is out I'm geting another camaro I thought the car had more ball that what your sAying nice winter beater though lol. And zzperformance on the modding 3800 it says there tunes are junk and not to get them and what pulley stuff do you need.
Just ans press on pulley



I'm still toning to play with the car but I'm gettin an camaro for sure

i run an intense tune and its fine i was just putting up the sites to get stuff on and a dhp tune is goos as well
 
i was thinking a 3800performance.com pcm, speed daddy headers, 3.4 pulley sure what all is involved in changeing pulleys, and i have a fwi and high flow exhuast.

my question was what would it take, would that stuff work or would i need more and if i need more how much more. im not really woried about the money because i have all the time i want to build the car. im in no rush!
 
all the info is there for you i know my t/a was low 13's high 12's
if you wanna get those numbers you looking at a cam ,headers,intercooler or meth,custom tune, open cone,3.2 pulley 42.5 injectors ,slicks,
 


thanks but nothing was answered i dont really care about building the car right now i just wanted to know what it would take everyone said read the modding 3800, that thread does not give me 1/4 mile times so i would not know how much the bolt ons would add to a 3800




i could bolt on a million dollors worth of parts and still would now how fast it is in the 1/4 miles so my question still is not answered but thanks

solid 3.4 build gets you into 13's cam build high 12's cam and ic build mid 12's cam ic tiny pulley sticky tires maybe low 12's plus some n20 11's

insane turbo build 10's 9's 8';s
