Im on my way to the local mall with my brother and 2 others. Im at a stop-light when i see a cop behind me, i make a comment "that would really turn me on if he pulls me over and gives me a ticket for loud exhaust" I go when the light turns green and i see flashing lights, everyone giggles because i called it, im like no big deal. The cop, who has this crazy under-bite and lisp tells me hes pulling me over because he smells burning weed. I give him this look :th_wtf: i don't smoke and everyone in the car doesn't. He keeps asking me "are you sure?" i go "Yeah im pretty sure", im not being a smart arse or anything, he goes back to his car and makes a phone call? He then comes back to the car and asks again "are you being honest with me?" i go "YES" I then tell him, "you can search if you really want just don't rip my interior apart and dirty it up" He takes my offer? wtf? i didn't do anything. He then gets the K9 unit for backup so he can watch me and the 3 other people on the sidewalk, he searches my car and doesn't find anything, while the other cop is verbally harassing my little brother about his tight pants. The same harassing cop then makes a comment about my taillights and how they're is blue in the reverse lights, i tell him they glow white xenon. The cop with the lisp pop's my trunk and looks in. NOTHING IS THERE. The harrasing cop then asks why my trunk is gutted. I say its cuz i have a water leak and the carpet smells like mildew. 45 minz into this ordeal I then get 2 comments on how clean my car is then i get a receipt and go. WTF?!?!? I don't care if anyone reads this, i just feel better that im typing it.
 




Do not ever "offer" to let them search. Be respectful, polite, and do not push back when they ask for something, but you waste a lot of time and give them empowerment that they should not have by offering such things.
 
NEVER Let them search you! For one! What if they was "bad" cops like most are! They could have "found" something and you would be sitting in jail or paying them some money! Or you could do what I did...In the state of AR they CAN NOT get into a locked compartment without a search warrent (I know cause my bestfriend is Chief of Police in Jacksonville,AR) So I got pulled over they wanted to search me..I was like you I was like umm okay? Cause I new I had nothing to hide..During the search I called John and he told me to STOP letting them run me over! He told me do NOT let them in my glovebox or trunk! lol. So I didn't and OMG they was MADDDD LOLOLOL. They asked for the keys and I said why? they said so we can get into your glovebox I said your going to need a warrent for that and the cop was takin back like...umm....LOL They never got in my trunk or glovebox! LOL I had NOTHING to hide but I learned my lesson!
 
^I know their names. One of them knows me well. The other is just a lisping under biting retard. The thing is, in this town if you talk back or anything then you just get pulled over all the time regardless. If you make a complaint they pull you over all the time and harass you. Its so stupid. These cops have nothing better to do. My friends mom complained about how her son was searched and they dirtied the seats and ruined the carpet of his srt-4, 3 hours late she got pulled over for her "loud" exhaust on her mustang.
 
That sucks dude!!!!!! never have them search your car. The K9 cops and signal the dog to bark for them to get probable cause. I never trust a cop unless I know them personally.

So this is local right? county has jurisdiction over them then state then feds.


I hate crap like that, crystal lake used to do that to me every time I drove into/thru their **** town, always loud exhaust, it had two mufflers, it was a 1978 model year, their justification....its louder then their cruiser...well no **** officer. youve got 4 cats and two mufflers, its a 2004 not a 1978.

Or better yet when you are the victim and the suspect. They work for us, we pay well I dont but taxpayers pay their salaries, dont forget that.
 
cant think of a time a cop has ever helped me out. Met a couple nice cops that didnt give me a ticket and were fair and resonable. Women cops are the worse they always want to prove something.

Cops help out by giving us tickets. The only cops that i have respect for are the real cops in bad areas that risk their lives on a daily basis to stop real crime. These pu**y local cops are a joke by helping give by-standards pointless tickets, and harassment.

Is that cop taller than a parking meter?
We have a couple that are like that and they are both shorter than a parking meter.....go figure :th_scratchhead:

My thoughts exactly. I will follow their orders and they can do what they want. And I am always polite. But I make it known, in a nice way, that I do not give them permission to do a search.
 


They like to push people and use there power of authority. Most my local state patrol i have delt with. Its the local cops that are ass's. Also a good idea is to tape record your conversation with the cop durring you stay with them. Has gotten a couple of friends out of a jam and gotten some ****ty cops fired.
 
Meh, but it will just be dismissed...I've always been nice...except the one time I got pulled over after a 16 hour shift at work tired as hell...apparently I went off on the shoulder in the slow lane on I35 around 2 in the morning...cuz I was so tired and I sat on the side of the road for 30 minutes after that because he thought I was a underage drinker...I called him "dude" and he didn't like that...asked me if I called my Dad "dude"...I was like...ummm yeah? so? Are you my parent? Don't judge what goes on in my house and do your job. So...apparently that pissed him off even more. He left my car on the side of the road and took me home. Car got sideswiped later that night. Sued the county for unlawful actions against a minor...or something along those lines (I was 17) seemed to work and my car was repaired :D FOR FREE!!

I got so many cop stories but all in all anytime they ask to search or something I always tell them I ain't guilty but I have seen what cops do to cars interiors and that **** ain't gonna fly. Go get a warrant. Then if they do trash the car. Sue em :p

exactly. even if they said that you had to let them, you don't. they have to have some sort of probably cause/evidence, and there wasn't any. the least they could go on is if a dog sniffs somethin. not just what they think they smelled. too many cops know that not everyone knows their rights about these things, and try to take advantage of it, which makes me lose some respect for em. cops like that aren't doin anyone any good
