Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

So, I've got boxes of UMI Performance stuff for my '84 Camaro. I know another guy who has used their products and LOVE'EM. I have not installed anything on the Camaro yet, but I love the design and craftsmanship of the stuff I have so far.

I like the products so much, I put UMI Performance rear trailing arms on my Monte. The part that bums me right now, is those are the ONLY suspension parts UMI offers for the '97-'05 W-Body. I e-mailed them a while ago and they claim that they plan to make more products for the W-Body platform, but they don't know when they would release anything new to their catalog.

I know there are companies such as ZZP, BMR and a few others who offer any suspension parts I would want, but I would really like to stay with UMI Performance products. Right now, I am wishing UMI Performance would offer front and rear strut tower braces and sway bars. Anyone else share my opinion or interest, if so, I would ask to send an e-mail to UMI Performance and express your interest in more products for the W-Body platform (as with any company, they need to see/hear there is a market or demand for their products).

I bought umi trailing arms, and would have bought other umi parts, but have already bought other brands for most things by this point.

Def could use some kind of bars to connect engine cradle to chassis, inner fender braces, dont think they make strut tower braces, and I think trunk bars that go from the rear strut towers to the trunk floor by the bumper on eash side would help also.
Whats most needed for this platform is a decent coilover setup that doesnt cost an arm and a leg!!!!

Everyone says they are interested, make a point to e-mail UMI and voice your want for them to make products for the W-Body platform. I can't say for sure, but the only way they will make products for our cars is if a demand is out there, so we have to let them know a demand does exist. Take a moment and shoot them an e-mail:

I have spoken to Ryan, the owner, personally when I went to their shop on my cross country trip to Philadelphia. He says they plan to make rear adjustable lateral arms for the w-body but have no expected date for them. They took me on a tour of their shop, everything is done in house which is nice an keeps costs down. I would say send Brad an email and ask him about other options like the engine braces and such. Ryan's sister drives a grand prix as well.

I saw the "tour" they gave in a YouTube video! Really a nice operation (just from the video). Like I mentioned, I am impressed with their craftsmanship. Very high quality parts! They make plenty for the F-Body (lord knows, I've been stock piling a lot of their good stuff for future use and a couple friends have done the same). Just waiting on more W-Body good stuff.

UMI only makes trailing arms for us:th_biggrin2:

I like UMI trailing arms thought. Very nice stuff..
I really dont need any other suspension parts besides lateral arms. So I would be down for some of those.

If they can match the quality of BMR and keep the price down then sure why not. The only thing I would buy from them as of now is trailing arms though... The GMPP sway bars are too good of a deal and I already have a BMR stb.

Heh, my dad must have put that on YouTube.

UMI Makes some sweet stuff. Again, love everything I've seen and I think they could offer more for us. I see we're up to 18 people interested. I hope all of those 18 have taken a moment to contact the good folks at UMI, voiced an interest.

I know they have a lot on their plate to bring products to new, more competitive markets (such as products they are pushing for the 5th gen Camaro), but I'd still love to see some new W-Body toys trickle out.
