Hello everyone, getting back into working on my 2000 Grand Prix. It's been a great car and I love it. No longer my daily driver just a spare car I keep legal just in case, and for fun. It has few minor mods. Just passed 245,000 miles and threw a rod, which busted a nice hole in the block. Going to put in a used engine, and have the transmission rebuilt while everything is apart.
 


Thanks for the welcome! I was just putting on some miles after installing a new o2 sensor and clearing the code, before getting it inspected. Normal driving, nothing crazy. I heard it knocking only for a mile or so before the big boom. In hindsight I should have immediately stopped and had the car towed. At least then I could have rebuilt it. The used engine arrived today. Planning on taking it apart, installing new head gaskets, timing chain, dampener, front and rear main seals, walter pump, and oil volume kit and slapping it in and hopefully have it back on the road by the middle of next week.
