I was doing the usual last night just driving home from work and on this same main road where ive had most of my kills and a few losses this guy with an 09 or 2010 Impala was ridin next to me for a few miles. He had HIDS with a nice blue output and chrome rims on to top it off. We finally get up to a light side by side and he starts creepin as the light is bout to change well it turns green but i guess he expected me to rocket off the line.I go about half throttle getting up to about 55 and i look over and whos next to me still...yup so i floor it til 95 and the whole time im puttin a half car every few seconds on him and when i let off i had 2 cars on him and finally he slows down and goes somewhere. Another nice kill under my belt. I couldnt tell which version it was but i kno it had dual exhaust probably 18s in chrome and HIDS.

Im ordering my tune this thursday so whenever that comes im installin together. So sometime after christmas yeaaa buddyy.

The inlaws have a new Impala... I get a chuckle every time I see it, thinking " Those fools on GPF would try to race it..."

Nice kill.

What is it with stock V6 impala owners thinking they're quick? A few weeks ago I had a car full of cocky teenyboppers in a newer LTZ impala trying to race my GTP. I finally had enough of their ricer fly bys so I said fvck it and blew their doors off thinking maybe it would bring them back to reality. Probably didn't.

I dont know what it is I guess they think its a baller car but honeslty the impalas havent been all that impressive since the 96 SS version.Thats just me. Guess they just need to be put in place.

06+ impala has either 3.5l=200hp and less torque then our 3800 or 3.9l= 230 hp and 230 trq.Im wondering which one you raced. either way good kill.
when i was shopping for my impala 2 years ago i drove a "brand new" 2007 impala LTZ with 3.9l, what keeps them slow is their gearing, i remember 1st gear went 0-100km/h i couldnt believe the long gear ratio, then they wanted 14k for the car and i had to reject, kept shopping and found my 2005 impala ls with 3800 and i swear it had the same pickup if not better then the 07 and they wanted 6.4k for the 05 impala so i haggled them to 6k and bought it.
new 2012 impala has 3.6l with 300 hp but the price of a new impala you wont see youngens racing them for a few years unless they steal their parents car lol.

I thought somewhere i saw there were 3 versions the ls lt ltz and oh yea the ss with the v8 also.It may have likely been either an lt or ltz and i believe the hp and tq numbers for the lt are 211/216 and 240/240 for the ltz I could be wrong. And i know those two besides the ss have dual exhaust. But i mean they are roomy cars and the interiors are decent but not really for racing lol.

LTZ's had a dual exhaust option too...they just didn't have polished exhaust tips like the SS does.

Any Impala with the 3.9 (LT2,LTZ) and of course the SS had dual exhaust from 06-2011. In 2012 all Impalas have standard dual exhaust and the 3.6 dohc vvt di from the Camaro. I had one of those as a rental last week when my GXP was in the shop and its peppy for sure. 6 speed auto keeps the revs high where it likes to be. Great gas mileage from the 3.6 btw.

the 2012 impalas with the 6 speed and the vvt3.6 get down. 300hp and with the tapshift theyll rev to 6500 and stay right in the powerband the whole time. Much more fun to race than the old 3500s or 3900s
