So I've seen this yellow somewhat "nice" looking ColbaltSS around town. Tonight I was turning right at the lights onto the "strip" and saw it (it was at the lights to the left (going straight through the intersection). I'm accelerating up to the speed limit and it starts coming up to me pretty quick, then floors it when he got next to me...im like "what the hell" and slam on it, I start catching up (got up to his front bumper) when the next light turned red, we both slow down and the guy pulls in front of me into my lane (three lane parkway road).

Please Note..I do NOT instigate street races..I sometimes "toy" with ricers on the highway, but no head-to-head at stop lights. Anyways.. I move over to the lane next to him and stop my car at about the halfway point of his car, again, because I didnt want to make it obvious to race again (lots of cops like to patrol this road).

I wait to see what happens when the light turns green, it does and I hear his wheels chirp off the start.....GAME ON!!..... I floor it and end up completely walking him up to a car and a half then I let off to make my turn. (his supercharger was scrreeeeaaming too)

Sooo I'm pretty pumped, walked the SS thats been struting his **** around my city..WITH a half car lead AND the head start.

ive been trying to get this air force dude on the way to work to run his SS... he always acts like he wants to then backs off :confused: he will fly up to my quarter panel and ill gun it it for a sec then he just stays behind me. good kill though.
 
Should roll him around 30. Good run for you AND him. They can't get out of the hole for sh1t. I got my ass handed to me by a Yellow Revline built Cobalt with a 125 shot. It made my XP'd car look like a N/A car.
 


I'd say the turbo cobalts aren't a joke. I was looking at specs at the I-X auto show in Cleveland. Don't they have 260 horse stock? Def lighter in a gtp also.
 
Turbo Balt's run mid to high 13's stock. They aren't a joke...and a tune and less than a grand in bolt-ons puts them into the 12's. They are the new budget rocket IMO.
 




u have nothing to prove to anyone... ive played with a few but never raced ... they are quick. but so is a 3.5 setup..
 
Aw, don't get your panties in a wad-some of my fellow W-body owners sure are defensive. All I'm saying is having owned an '06 SS/SC 'balt, it would roll by a GTP like Grant thru Richmond. It's two completely different classes of cars and the GP has no business being faster anyway. It's a hell of a lot better, more comfortable car.


And what's this incessant whining about bio locking threads? Is this a bar fight? Is this normal around here? Hell, I'm new...And old, all at the same time.
 
I dont know.

Generally instead of letting stupid threads go on forever they seem to get locked instead of letting them get to the point where someone gets banned/warned.
