W Body (Impala) Sway Bar On a GXP

GXP02

Has anyone tried to fit a regular W body sway bar off an Impala onto a GXP? I am tired of replacing those long and expensive sway bar links only to have them make noise again a year later. My son has a 2012 Impala with 138K miles on it and he still has the original short links on it. I would gladly sacrifice a little handling for this kind of longevity.

We're you able to do the sway bar change?
Let us know how it works out.
I haven't done it yet. Still living with the noisy links. I have researched it though. ZZP Performance has a nice powder coated red sway bar with bushings for $79. i would have to change the lower control arms to the Impala style with the hole for the sway bar link in it. The AC Delco replacements for the GXP all have the holes on them now so no problem there. I may wait until spring to save a winter's salt spray on the new arms before I do it. My original arms are quite rusty now.

Yeah good deal sorry I just saw this I don't know why I'm not getting my notifications in my email?
Yeah I understand you have to change the control arms to the style that has the little boss on the rear of the control arms for the short sway bar links.
I'm doing my control arms right now well I sort of had an accident that's a different story but my bushings needed replaced anyways I just got the somewhat inexpensive Detroit Axle because I don't drive a lot plus the reviews were quite good for the Detroit Axle control arms now other Detroit actual things maybe not so much. Has anyone reading happened to specifically use the Detroit Axle lower control arms?
Again reviews were quite good and I even asked the question over there a few times,
how are these holding up for everyone? I actually think I ended up asking about three times with favorable answers.
