W-Body Custom Exhaust Build

I know there's quite a bit of exhaust threads asking which parts to get or what choices there are so I decided to draw up my custom exhaust build and add some info. There is a lot of detail lol but that's because I've been bored since I got laid off last week.

The dynomax #41806 part number for the adapter is from the dynomax kit made for our cars (19363). The size is 2 1/4 but it can be expanded if needed to fit.

You don't need to purchase all the adapters but I built it this way for quick disconnecting, especially for the mufflers so I can easily change them out for state inspections.

I recommend http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com because the make a solid exhaust at a decent price. They have single or dual options, 2.5 to 3 in, and aluminized steel or 304 stainless steel.

97-03 They used to list exhausts for this generation but it seems they don't anymore or they're restructuring the site.

She lost the whole exhaust including the zzp cat-less dp when her car got totalled. Insurance wouldn't let her take the exhaust.... mother ****ers. I'll ask her if she has any videos tho.

if you're interested, rock auto has the whole dynomax kit for $400. I got it for $300 cause I worked at NAPA lol. if you know anybody that works at NAPA they might get you a solid deal.

Oh I didn't realize it was on that car. Yeah I saw it on Rockauto, that's why I was wondering lol. I don't know anyone who works at any of the parts stores :/

IDK if it would be cheaper to just get the mandrel exhaust systems kit and just buy the dynomax mufflers. The part numbers are 17667 & 17666. Also in case somebody doesn't know, the dynomax piping is not that ****ty crush bent garbage. It has real mandrel bends

May have to buy this. I need a flange for my glasspack

go to your local muffler shop, ask for a flange. you then cut off a inlet tube or not, and weld the flange to the glass pack.

also picked up all the parts for a u bend delete at the muffler shop. cost 25 bucks for the o2 bung, 10 inches of pipe one end flaired. and the flange.

nope. you can weld the flange to the pipe. i cut mine off to make it 2 inches shorter so it would fit right.

i measured my stock res, bought a gp a bit longer res was 30, gp 32".
