VS Audi TT 3.2 AWD

First off I wanted to say sorry for my last thread. I simply wanted to know a question about what type of GP I raced...then I felt the need to defend myself as to my car being just as fast as a GTP and why I purchased it. Hopefully this thread can stay peaceful.

I am posting this cause I ENJOY racing and am a car enthusiast, not an acura fanboy. AND B/C are cars are similar in performance so you can judge how well your car would match up too:th_mischievious:

My 2002 Acura CL-S is stock except for headers(+15-30whp) and a ghetto air box mod(removing my intake resonator)
2003-2004 Audi TT 3.2 AWD completely stock.

-First run from a light we roll off to about 5-10mph and then both gun it at the same time. I pull on him like crazy...thought he was the 1.8t. He said he missed a gear
-Second run, from another light. He pulls on me out of the hole 3/4 car with AWD and is only 1/2 car ahead by 65mph.
-Last run we decide to gun it from 35mph b/c he has to get up ahead. Up till 70mph I am 1/2 car ahead

He must have been a ****ty driver or headers really helped my car b/c Audi TT 3.2 VR6 n/a runs 14.2 1/4 mile a @96mph

So go out and race one...it will probly get you out of the hole, but you should catch up quick. You should also kill a 1.8t FWD

I personally do not mind having you here, I like having the other perspectives and comparisons, though this is a Grand Prix, Regal, Monte Carlo, etc. site it is nice having another perspective here. All I ask is keep the rhetoric in check. If others here get out of hand, I'll deal with that.

I think we can all be realistic here and understand that no matter what we do to our cars whether it be domestic, import or European, there is always going to be someone that has the time and money to do more and be faster.

Nice man. I like having you here also. Like said, gives us an idea what other cars are being able to run. So you are basing yours off a stock GTP?

Right now with headers my car is faster then a stock GTP. Probly about the same off the line though...but not a lot of you are stock. With headers I'm probly running 14.3-14.4....I don't know what you need to run similar times as we are both high 14 second cars stock.

I don't know what headers do for you car though....my stock headers suck, but my cat-back is not very restrictive.

I never new TT's were fast. I think the race will be determined depending on what type you race. The TT AWD's have more horsepower, but loose a lot of it adn are only good off the line. The TT turbo's will probly be better from a roll.

pretty much our cars have about the same performance. so it would take about the same mods to run equal times. ie header cl vs header gtp. people have done 14.4 with just an intake if that kinda gives you a general idea. the thing is there is a wide aftermaket for our cars so most are not stock. when we start swaping out pullies watch out :)

yea aftermarket parts availability for your car is HUGE. My car is discountinued...I'm basically limited to headers, intake, pulleys, and a supercharger, but only the intake and headers have more then one company making them:th_thumb-down:

you cant use any of the internal parts from the 3.5?? cam, or maybe an intake manifold?? maybe swap your heads out for the 3.5?? my friend has the 2.7 motor and he is talking about putting the 3.2 or 3.5 intake manifold on his.

I don't think it would be worth it...it would be a quick car, but not much faster then what I already have. I'de rather just buy a whole new platforum such as a 350z, lexus is300, ws6, sti, evo, etc

yea...the main reason I got the car I got now is for luxury. I just love the feeling of sittin in the interior...yet it is still sporty, especially the seats.

I would really like the lexus is300 though. They are FAST turbo'd, small(handle like a beamer), and are RWD. STI/EVO is really cool except I think I would grow out of it too soon. As for the WS6 I would only buy it for a track car...no way in hell I'de drive one every day:eek:
