Volkswagen Warranty SUCKS

I bought a 2015 jetta turbo earlier this year. I love the car, but Volkswagen dealer and the coporate have been problems since day one.
took 2 weeks to get new tires on it after the stock ones were bad from the showroom floor.

But now.....
My AC has been Randomly shutting off in my car.
It turns off (with the ac light still on) blows hot for 30 seconds-2 minutes and gets cold again. I can reset it with the button.
I called my dealer, and I was told, if there isn't any warranty work done, (aka they don't find the issue) I have to pay a diagnostic fee.
I have 16000 miles on it still well within the bumper to bumper warranty.
I think its utterly ridiculous to charge me a diagnostic fee.
I called VWOA and they confirmed the dealer "CAN" do this, since they only pay for it during warranty repairs.

My brother works at a Nissan dealership, if a car is under warranty they cover the diagnostic fees.
How can you say the car has no problems with an issue that's intermittent.

kind of like "its been raining today" " well I didn't feel any rain when I was outside so its not raining"

GMC never hosed me like that, no charge ever when under warranty.

im calling their main competitor today, if they don't charge me the fee, im switching everything there.
The dealer I had garuntees the engine for life if you do all of the factory maintenance with them.
I was going to do that, LOT of money lost their.

Update--
Just called their competitor, same policy, if they don't find an issue, I have to pay.
Screw you VW, Diagnostics should be covered regardless. How am I supposed to know if my car is really broken, im a Volkswagen Driver.

A friends Audi was the same way but with a recall. Can't remember what the problem was but if they couldn't replicate it you had to pay the diagnostic fee.

Now after the crap with the diesel scam, Dealers are hurting and VW is stingy, its going to be an If its not actually broken, don't take it in.
I love the car but I will NOT buy another VW product new

110 at one dealer 130 at the other.
its a flat fee,
Im a college student and I bought the thing new so I wouldn't have the stress of " I need to come up with this much to fix my car, or what is that noise etc"
Next car I buy to daily is going to be made by GM or Asian

VAG is an interesting company for sure.

When I got the Audi, I went to my local dealer and asked for the history on the car, as carfax shows an interesting repair at 13k with the motor coming out to complete repair. What that is... I'd like to know. Local says.. didn't happen here we can't tell you what happened. I call AOA, the nice representative say.. correct, there is no central system to house repairs etc. My car is awesome, but the company does things differently.

I was told by someone on the VW forum, that I shouldn't decide not to buy another VW because of the dealers in my area.
Problem is, if the only dealer worth using is 2 hours away, then im driving 4 hours for an oil change. if they need the car over night then im ****ed. There is a dealer 130 miles from me that has a policy of not charging if they don't find anything, but .... if they do find something I have to have a ride home and BACK
Shouldn't have to do that.

They probably live in an area like I do where dealerships are all over and you have your pick of plenty.

People on that forum do not like people hating on VW,
I got a comment "Theres no way you only have 3 dealers in your area, I have more than that and im in a low population state"
So I sent him a link to dealer finder and the zip of my city lOl

Some people's kids..

Keeping in mind that Audi's new are fairly pricey.. the stuff I see on forums amazes me. One guy asked what credit rating you needed to own a Q5 lol

VW is discovering what it is like to be the largest manufacturer in the world, unfortunately I don't think they have they organization and management like Toyota. If you were over in Europe, this wouldn't happen, but here is why they always lacked in sales because their network sucks plain and simple.

Nailed it^ Closest VW dealer to me is in Fargo althought there are quite a few VAG's id love to be in...... err I mean drive.

Edit: Yes Bill their intercoolers are second to none!! LOLOLOLOLOL

Why buy a turdblower when you could have stupidcharged?

I kept getting the "don't Hate VW because their dealers suck just go out of town till you find a good one..... They're privately owned VW isn't responsible"

I don't care who owns the dealer, Payed ~20k dollars for a car new to have a warranty and not have to worry about noises while im in school. If everyone knows the dealers are **** then VW needs to change their policies on services to correct it plain and simple.
When buying a car, I lump the local dealers and the company together, anything over 60 miles away doesn't exist. If I cant get VW to stand behind their product though their dealers im going elsewhere next time.

I have been noticing a knocking/tapping sound when stopped from time to time. not always their but getting more frequent. At this point, instead of taking it in and discovering whats causing it and maybe saving the engine, im more likely to wait and let the noise get loud because Im not risking a diag fee.

Update: My brother just got a job at a local VW dealership as a Tech in the service department.
Ill wait until he makes some friends and then bring the car in.... Should get better results.
