Vin Decode - Please

Pls anybody decode this vin. I dont wanna pay car-fax $40 to find out cuz moneys tight rite now. So if somebodys got a multiple carfax acct pls decode for me. PM me the info. Thx.
 


You can decode that vin on any of the decoder websites, those are all free.

If you want to see the carfax report or autocheck report itself for buying the car, you'll be hard pressed for anyone to just give you one for free. Sometimes you can get lucky and hit up cartrader or car soup and click on a car for sale and run the autocheck for that car and then just change the VIN in the web broswer and more or less trick it and run the VIN for whatever you want. But thats pretty hard to do.

It is not hard at all to get a free vehicle history report.
 
Only a carfax gives real details, like actual real details and exact location etc etc.

Others like autocheck or the like just seem to give you a vehicle rating, liens reported or clear titles and where the vehicle was last reg/sold/location. It's better than nothing but they didnt give the service records or any recall stuff done.
 
Probably isn't a good idea to purchase a car if you can't afford to check the carfax. If that's what's you're doing.

The last time I looked at a Carfax for a car it had all the same info as what showed on Autocheck, didn't have anything more or anything less.
Autocheck will show you service records for cars just the same as Carfax but only if the services were done. When I was looking for the Hoe, I found a Suburban with 305k miles in Colorado, the Autocheck showed every time that guy took it in to the dealership and what services were done.
 
None of those sites list stuff done by a private person or smaller shop. Bonneville had a clean carfax and yet the drivers door had been replaced. Never rely on a piece of paper to tell you the truth about a car.
 
The PO of my Stealth hit a deer and caused a decent amount of damage to the car. It was turned into insurance, and repaired. I know this because the PO told me before I bought it. That incident doesn't show up on a Carfax report.

A few months after I bought the car I hit a deer and caused $2500+ in damage. The incident was reported to insurance, but I repaired it myself. That does not appear on a Carfax report.

A week or so later I was run off the road and slid into some guard rails. Again, it was reported to insurance, and again I repaired it myself, and again, it doesn't appear on a Carfax report for my car.

About 5 years ago (shortly before I bought the GP), a well worker had a piece of equipment fall off his truck and lay in the road. I was unable to stop and "ran it over." It jammed under the car, busted the bumper cover, busted a hole in the oil filter, and dented the pan. The car was towed to one of my "approved" insurance repair places, where they got it to where I could drive it again. I had a fight with the insurance company over some of the repairs they wanted to refuse, so I picked the car up, fought it out with insurance, and got my check to repair it myself. Yet another incident that does not appear on a Carfax report for the car.

I repeat, Carfax is a joke.
