Hey folks!
2006 GP GT 3.8L V6 SC
So I decided to change my brakes/rotors last fall, and started out with a few beers in. Stupid me jacked up the car in the slanted driveway and the car fell off the jack :th_nervous: onto the driver's rotor. Jacked it back up and put it on the flat road.
Changed all 4 rotors n pads and the car was fine all fall and this past winter.
Now that it got warm out, I get a vibration in the seat and stearing wheel when doing 100-120km/h (60-75mph) (guessing it's front end). It was colder out the other day and this vibration seemed to vanish!
The only thing I can think of to cause tempurature to affect wheels is the tire pressure. My tires are 17's and kinda low profile and hanging on 3mm left on them, so perhaps I will need new ones? Perhaps I have hit a pothole (I know I have hit several big ones) and broke a metal belt in the tire, and the tire pressue will show this in a vibration?
Also when turning at 100-120km/h the vibration seems less, so again, tire belt related?
I'm was thinking of putting my spare on each and trying it out, but 100-120km/h is too fast for a spare. Maybe I'll find a real tire to test against? Maybe I will just let some air out of one tire at a time to pin point it? Maybe I bought a cheap rotor that warped?
Any other advice? Thanks!
