vibration while accelerating

where the drivers side axle slips in to the trans it has slop. i can grab the axle and move it up and down. is the trans dust or is a bearing worn? has this happen to ant one else?
 


this is with the brand new axle only the drivers side the old one did the same so i changed it and it has not changed but the passenger side is tight
 
the axle splines should move very little when inserted into the trans... are you lowered because lowering causes axle geometry changes and vibrations under acceleration
 
i dont want to scare you but id take it to a shop for a more in depth analysis... especially if it does it with a new axle, because i dont remember ever having any movement in the trans last time i changed mine
 


1998 gtp 4t65e-hd case cover assembly... pardon my terrible drawing 431 is the part that might do it just a suggestion not 100% and should be able to do it with the trans still in the car if ur able to get the driver side trans cover off... guess i should mention tht this is an image of the trans flipped on its back
