Vibration or buzzing in first gear?

sseilmnop

LaBarge Supercharged
Got a weird vibration or buzzing in first gear only when doing ½ throttle or more acceleration. Goes away as soon as it shifts to second. Actually feels like antilock brakes or traction control, but turning off traction control makes no difference. No check engine light is set and I did not try pulling the fuse yet. As long as you are driving the vehicle mildly it make no vibration. I tried recording it with my phone but you cant hear it from the back ground noise, I guess it is mostly feel in the wheel. I replaced the engine in February due to a JP timing chain failure (apparently they had problems with the single chains also) which bent most of the valves on the 180,000 mile block. The car has been running great up until 2 days ago when the buzzing or vibration started.

I emailed Dave at tripleedgeperformance and he has not run into this but said cv axles, lowering and mounts is what he would check. My car is stock height, the front mount has been replaced(Bonneville) most everything else is stock.

Anyone run into this before?

I'd double check the torque converter bolts, axle bolts and the front mount unless you hockey pucked it. That marshmellow is suspect. Another thing could be your rear trans mount and or something rubbing in the tunnel.

Torque converter bolts are tight
Front motor mount is tight (new stock mount)
Passenger Mount is tight
Rear Mount??? not sure ran out of time

Driver CV axle inner joint is throwing that green grease.

Where's the best place to get cv axle? Last time I got one I went with used junkyard rather than $hitty rebuild or new china junk.

Update

Bought a used CV from Morad and going to put it on tonight but I noticed something.

Tried brake torquing the car standing still and I get the vibration. What's that leave? Motor mounts which looked good, torque converter which was replaced with tripleedgeperformance rebuild or engine/motor. Torque converter bolts were all tight.

Anybody no if you can change flex plate without removing engine or transmission! Think I cracked mine.

Any other options besides stock or meziere billet which is 245mm bolt pattern. I'm thinking stock on gtp and ssei is 258mm.

Yes I did. Didn't want change flex plate, glad I took some time before just doing.

Didnt do a hockey puck mount but made out Energy Suspension 94102 2 of everthing shown in picture is included.
