It may be RWD, but you need a stick to make it Right.

LOL I kid

Head gasket on that car isn't too bad to do, way better then a FWD VQ35. Once you work on a car like this to pull it apart, it just makes sense, and you will never want anything but a German again.

And I'm gonna just say it...S52 swap...you will love yourself.

Re: Vette's 1997 328i

BMW- big money wasted,,,enoug said,
either way its a nice looking car,
is that a cracked windshild?

Re: Vette's 1997 328i

Yeah cracked windshield, rear driver quarter is damaged and rusty, so is the door but he gave me a door from a junkyard that just needs to be painted. He said he also thinks it needs a new driveshaft bearing.

I really think I'm gonna like it Dave. The interior is still in really good shape aside from the front door panels (every bmw i've seen from this era has the same issues or worse) but maybe if I get it running good I can turn it into a warm-weather driver and autocross it.

Re: Vette's 1997 328i

id love to find myself a beemer for a weekend warrior. gl with this one.

Re: Vette's 1997 328i

Sounds like when i talked to him last Thurs that it was too good of a deal to pass up. I'd rock the sh1t outta that car. Talk to Abrasive about your window Dakota.

Re: Vette's 1997 328i

the interior on nice cars always blows me away.

looks great vette, or should i say looks like it has the potential to be great

Thanks, he have a hookup on window replacement? Not sure if they can provide cowl (think that's what they call the trim along the bottom of the windshield) but mine def needs replacing.

We'll see, i just wanna get this back to good, stock running condition.

Re: Vette's 1997 328i

^^^I'll beleive 'nvr want anything but a German again'.

But, I wouldn't evr want it to be a BMW. Cuz all the acronyms making fun of BMW are completely true.

I second swapping motors btw.

Re: Vette's 1997 328i

Dakota,

Abrasive's done Glass Work for years. I dunno about a hookup you'll have to inquire.

That looks like Lucas High Performance Engine Lubricant for building rotating assembly's...seems normal to me, who uses coolant?
