Vent removal from Daytona/Anniversary hoods

How do they come out? They seem glued in but I'm not sure. I'm having the car painted and want to have them hydrodipped while Its being done but I don't want to break them.

I had a 40th and think they are the same. Its just double face attachment tape. I'd use a snap knife or plastic scraper to seperate them from the hood. You can double check once the rain tray is off but I don't think theres any threaded fasteners involved, just tape. Now enlighten me, what is hydrodipping? Dunking in water with paint floating on it?

^^^Pretty much, but has designs and such. Called hydro imaging though. Carbon Fiber, Skulls, flowers, whatever:

^ NAILED it. All it is is using water to lay a film over a selected parts. Kinda like vinyl wrapping but with a lot less chance of error. I'm having my particular part done in carbon fiber. But you can pratically lay any image into it and have it done. Its real popular in the fire arm world currently.

Ah, yes I've seen that. But the hydrodipping was a new word on me. Hell they 3D print dessert now, whats next?

I've used string as a saw blade, works good to separate the tape but there is some speed nuts on plastic studs as well. They usually snap off unless you can get a little bit of heat to them to soften up the plastic.
