Vacuum Lines and what not

Hey guys.

Ok so I kept getting a misfire on cylinder one. I did a test on my injectors, and cylinder one injector failed the pulse test so I put new injectors in. Problem got better, but still there. I was reading and it said it could be bad vacuum lines. I looked and found about 3 bad vacuum, elbows. So i replaced those. I also found my vacuum line cracked from my throttle body to my purge. so i replaced that stock (hard hose) with just some 5/32" vacuum hose. But the nipple on the throttle body is bigger than the hose, so for the time being (so I can get an actually elbow) i just used a bigger hose, then reduced it down into 5/32" hose gradually. I also replaced my boost/vacuum gauge hose with 7/64" I.D. hose. Now, the misfire is gone, BUT, i have a higer idle (say 1400 rpm) and I keep getting my PO107 code....saying my MAP/BARO sensor low input. Would any of my vacuum lines cause this? My T-pipe is in near the MAP sensor for my boost gauge, but its never thrown a code.

My question is, is if using the wrong size vacuum hose (5/32") causes the problem, then what? The hose looked the same size as the other elbow pieces and "hard hose" from my throttle body to purge valve.

Hope you guys know something...this is starting to piss me off just a bit :th_scratchhead:

check to see you didnt accidentally disconnect the map sensor. it will throw the low input code if it is not connected. i have a busted connector and when it wiggles loose i get that code.

also you say your injector failed the pulse test. the pulse test where you unplug the injector and plug in a noid light right? if thats the case, that tests your pcm signal to injector, not your injector it self.

if your not getting spark in that cylinder, the pcm may terminate fuel injection to that cylinder to keep emissions and fuel consumption down.

I doubt it is the line going to your boost gauge but just to be safe and check id pull the line going to the gauge off and see if that fixes the problem. Vaccum leaks are the one of the most common causes of high idle so you may want to check and make sure all the lines are connected well one last time. If you can borrow a smoke machine from someone that would ensure you have no leaks but they aren't always easy to come by being they are 800+ dollars
