Using Hard Drive Magnets in Pan?

I've read about upgrading transmission pan magnets, and if I'm not mistaken I read that the new GM ones are neodymium.
I was wondering if you guys see anything wrong with just using old hard drive magnets instead?
They're just neodymium with some sort of coating on them.

Just wasn't sure if they'd be too strong or what could happen to that coating under high temperature.

I have a dozen of these things and I figured I could save a few bucks.

Them suckers are strong! Just stick them to the underside of the pan, that way you don't have to worry about clearance issue having them on the inside of the pan.

It will be fine for your application. Not good for a transmission that has electronic parts in the pan. You'll be able to catch the big pieces
