Using a PCM just to read sensors

Hello all,

got another project im working on, its a 79 Datsun 620 that I put a Carbed 4.3 V6 in. what I want to do is take the spare 3800 PCM I have and use it just to read sensors, like the oil press, water temp ect. of course they will be the correct sensors for the PCM and I would use a blue tooth OBDII reader to put all the info on my Tablet via Torque app. What do y'all think?

Not sure how you'd make it work but you can try I guess.

And the 3800 pcm cannot read oil pressure, was never programmed to read it. Same with fuel pressure. Seems easier to just have 3 seperate gauges for oil, coolant, votls type of thing.

yeah guess your right, I didn't know it didn't read oil pressure. I have the gauges I just thought it would be cool to run them on a Tablet along with speed and stuff. the idea was to keep from spending $500+ on a set of speed hut gauges.
