k, right now i run a 3.1 and ready to put a 45 straight through the block. i want to upgrade to the 3.8 sc or at minimum 3.8. any ideas on the best way to go about finding one?

a lot of people are going to come on here and say "Ed Morad", but he really doesnt have any better of prices than local yards. it is just that he knows these cars in and out and knows the parts just as well. the shipping is what is going to kill you since it has to be freight for an engine.
 
I'd say GTP engine and then GP trans and upgrade it with the HD parts. I'm pretty sure the GP's came with 3.29s or so for gears instead of 2.93 in the GTP's.

Correct me if I'm wrong please.
 
The HD parts aren't really necessary if you go with the GT trans.
The parts that were upgraded for the HD trans aren't the parts that break very often anyways.
