Ok im getting anxious.... without having the car back and being able to play i have not clue what it will be like when i get it running. the car will have two main phases and im wondering with the mod list bellow how fast we can all guess it will be?

phase 1) 98 Z34 engine trany L36 with 4t65e 3.29's
-FWI or open cone.
-180* stat
-Speed daddy headers
-a 2.5" high flow cat into a 2.5" magnflow muffler 2.5" piping to the back
-tuning :-)

Phase 2) Topswap
-all the above plus...
-genIII M90 inlet and outlet ported 3.8" pulley
-north start TB ported to match
-my 3" dia bored maf
-port matched lower intake
-heads with exhaust ported, dish edges polished away, and gasket matched inlet
-EGR and EVAP will be deleted as well.
-wide band installed again.

Phase 3) future mods with in the year.
-3.6 mps
-90# springs
-roller rockers? 1.8 or 1.9

here are my guesses:
Phase 1) low 15's like 15.3?
Phase 2) mid to low 14's like 14.3?
Phase 3) 14 flat? or into the 13's?
 


Ported heads with headers and enough timing to get away with...without running the injectors static...

I don't see how you won't run wel into the 14's if not high 13's IMO.

Skip the rockers man...cam it.

You'll thank me later and it'll net way more gains and a 3.4" pulley...win.
 
hey blue... how can i go about getting a good cammed setup that wont sound like a chain saw? i have not heard on VS cam car i liked and the XP seems like it could be too much when going double roller and needing 105's and dont want to pull balancing shaft.

oh so since im gonna be happy with the swap ... i'll just save up and make phase 3 or 4 a big one.... XP, 105's, chain which one? will i have to change the dampner? and do i have to pull the balance shaft.

xp should only ever have 130 springs... I have never seen a 105 or a LS6 spring work correctly on a XP or S1X unless it had roller rockers (aka less lift).
 
I wish i could get out there and work on it.... its at the shop. the guy doing the work got stuck out of town.... will be back tomorrow i just found out... but said he will get a few extra guys helping on it and get it done by sat or sunday.
