Hey everyone. I've just joined in here hoping to get some help and as much info as I can. I was given a 2006 grand prix base model from my dad. It's in excellent shape. I love this car my last car was a 2005 Honda civic. Lol. But I'm have a hard time locating stuff for this model I'm looking to upgrade the air intake to a k&n but was told there is not k&n air intake model for my car. Is there a pervious model that will work or will I need to just get a short pipe with the filter. Also other then ebay can anyone recommend decent place for head lights and tail lights. I want to look into getting led lights. Thanks for any help you give cheers

Anything from 2004-2008 would fit intake wise, they are all same 3800 motor. But the cost in my eyes is too damn high for basically looks and zero power gain. Sure you get the intake noise but it's not worth the 250+ dollars.

You can make your own intake for under $75 and it'll do the same exact thing.


As for headlights, stay far far far far far away from the LED or HALO style headlights for those cars. The light output is worse than factory and you can guarantee that almost everyone else will say the exact same about them.

Rockauto sells brand new headlight capsules for 40ish per side if you would like a fresh set of new ones. Very worthwhile if yours are foggy and yellowed. Get the TYC brand if they have them.

Tail lights are an ebay thing most likely, many have bought from them and they look decent.
 
Can you recommend any type of bulb that would work I'm really only looking for a nice white light. Just not sure what to get. This is my new project car I'm getting a new sound system installed next weekend so I want to start on the engine and light next. Thanks for the help

I know this is old, but Narva makes bulbs for it. Range Power White is 4500k temp. *Check local laws

Their Range Power 50's are DOT approved, not sure color temp. German made bulbs with long life.
