upgradeing to HUD and digital DIC question

OK hopefully this is in the right place. I have been looking on the site and can't find all the answers i need. Here goes, i have an 03 gp gt and what to add HUD and the digital DIC to it. I have heard the for the DIC i can only get the 03 model. Is this correct? I do not have traction control or abs breaks so what other info does a digital DIC give rather than analog? For the HUD i have seen them forsale, does my car have the wiring harness or do i have to wire it myself? And when installing is there cutting involved or just placement because the ones for sale look like the just fit in? cousr i am a rookie so... Sorry for the book but any help would be great.:confused:
 


I'm pretty sure all GP's have ABS and some amount of traction control, but the 03's are iffy, cause up to 02 the serial bus was the same, then in 04 they went to the CAN bus, and I think the 03's are either 1/2 and 1/2 or they have an unique system...
 
02bluegt, it says you added HUD, how did you do it? Still looking for answer to my first question. Looking at my car it looks like the HUD you can buy is a replacement part for the dash, no cutting. is this correct?
 
You will need an '03 DIC for your '03 car. Not sure about the HUD. You'll have to take the dash cover off to see if you have the installed wiring already, else you will have to wire it all manually yourself.

Is the one i have already called an analog dic? do i ask for a digital dic for a 2003 gp gt?:confused:
 
does anyone have any info on istalling a oem HUD in a 2003 gpgt? Anyone...please? Is there cutting involved or just replacement of the part needed? i'm lost here.
