Updated Pictures and Video of my 02 Grand Prix GT

Them rockers look like they are hanging on for deal life. Got rust?

BTW shrink your banner before the crazies come........ haha

Yeah that's a fuse box, you have that one and the one in the glove box. You can shrink your banner is ms paint that's what i do. I resize it based on percentage.

So the cabin fuse is in the glove box, do I have unplug the negative battery, also do I need to take the box out to get access to it. The one in the door confused me Idk what all that is but it's not the fuse.. What is MS paint, you talking about random paint, I use windows 8 and the vertical and the horizontal are the same measurements.

You don't need to unhook anything to get to it. Here is a picture where the one inside the car is in the glove box to the right you see the guy pulling the plastic piece down.

The other fuse box is under the hood in the picture you showed me, you just spin off the circular plastic nut in the center and it comes off to get to the fuses, and MS paint is Microsoft Paint or "Paint" if you were to search it within windows 8 i used the resize feature in it to adjust picture resolutions.

Just want to be careful due to my previous truck the I.O.D. Fuse ( Ignition off Drain ) blew and I must have short circuit the entire fuse box, Radio stopped and dome lights stopped. tried changing #17 in my truck and got shocked and then it started smoking and smelled burnt wires when the engine was hot. Forgot to turn the key off and unplug the battery and wait for the discharge.

The wire is inserted in the HVAC HI 30A Fuse. I followed the wire and it's hooked to the toogle switch by the ignition. with a black and white wire as well

I can not find the heater fuse or the wipers that squirts out the fluid. Also It seems on the outside windshield there is no SPRAY NOZZLE at all.

This wire is hooked into the fuse box that says Power/Ground Battery Cable. Thought it might be for the Radio system but there're no subs or amps in the car.

The Power/Ground Battery Cable runs along the Firewall and inside the car so I have no idea what the heck this wire is

So this is the mystery Terminal for the Power/Ground Battery Cable hooked to the fuse box

So should I unplug every battery hookup to get access to the fuse box

And please can you tell me were the "Heater and Wiper Fluid Fuse is"

1. I'm not 100% by any mean but the wire and toggle switch on the dash might have been used for an car amplifier turn on wire. Usually though people use the remote wire from the radio. Is the radio stock or aftermarket?

2. The spray nozzles for the fluid are on the wipers arms themselves (i think), if they arn't squirting water then the washer fluid pump probably died. What do you mean by the heater fuse? The wiper fuse I think is the one in the glove box named "wiper" on the top right.

3. The beefy "Power/Ground Battery Cable" Looks too be for a power wire for an amplifier for car audio that previous owner probably took out. Which would explain the tapped wire on the HVAC fuse for the remote wire.

1. The radio is aftermarket

2. I can't find any nozzles on the arms, trying to think if it got clogged or frozen since i'm in NY. And the Heater just stopped working on me motor does not turn over at all, was thinking it could be a fuse hence the reason I asked were the heat fuse was. or motor itself could be shot

3. So it's safe then to take that beefy wire out and be able to unplug the terminal hooked to the Fuse Box

Does the blower motor work at all on any setting? If it doesn't work on any setting it could be the blower motor. If it doesn't work on 1-4 but works on 5 its probably the blower motor resistor. Both commonly go bad if they are the stock units.

They could be frozen if you haven't got de-icer in it, you can test to see if the washer pump works by listening for it when you go to activate it, listen by the passanger front tire or from inside the car. If you don't hear it good chance it died.

Yeah you can remove the power/ground wire if you want unless plan on added in and an amplifier for subwoofer or door speakers. Does it run into the trunk? Before you remove it tho make sure to unhook it from the top of the fuse box to prevent any arking from touching metal while pulling it though if the ends are not covered. If you want to remove the red wire off the hvac fuse along with the toggle switch. I would trace the other wires off the switch to make sure they arn't some bypass of something.

Thank Russosaur if you watch my video up above I show you the heater issue. And as far as I can tell the Power/Ground wire goes all the way threw the firewall down underneath the Driver side Tire.

And as far as the toggle switch I only know of the red wire hooked to the cabin fuse box. The Black and White wire I have no idea, hope it's not hooked to the Radio if so i'm just going to leave it

Oh I watched the video and, for the radio steering wheel control to work you would need to put a stock radio back in or get an adapter but I think you need to have a aftermarket radio with the correct plug-ins for it. Someone else would have to chime in on that.

My question is why did GM decide to put a battery terminal near the fuse box.. Some one at HQ needs to go back home cause they are drunk.. ;-)

Looks like the blower motor is bad. Its under the dash in the passenger footwell. Prepare to be in roughly this position to fix it:

When mine went bad if i hit the bottom of it with a screw driver or wrench it sometimes would work again for the rest of the day.

Does that mystery switch light up when the car is on like is it an LED switch? If it does the three different wires go like this is my guess on how the wires are hooked up, but again you wont know till you trace them because I think its an amp remote/turn on wire.

Black = Ground
Red = Power (From Fuse)
White = Accessory/Switched power (to the amp/wire dangling on the floor from video)

The cloth cover that goes underneath the Glove Box is falling apart and is down. (Wondered if he tried doing something to it before selling me the car) But if I knew what the motor looked like I can check it out.

Oh yeah I forgot all about the white wire on the floor dangling lmao.. Yes it does light up when you press the button.. I could of swore my right knee got this burning sensation threw my jeans but it was nothing.

The blower motor looks like this from under the dash just remove the cloth cover and you should see it. Its easy to replace just the position you have to be in to change it sucks. This isn't my picture but i would expect it to be rusted, mine was.

Ok an Amazing Update.

I just got back from outside to get that Power/Ground Wire off the Fuse Box Terminal. It was freaking beefy and thick that I had to use a wire cutter to cut it completely off, then I snipped the zip ties and pulled it from the trunk and threw that piece of crap out. Now at this point the Radio died and would not turn on. So I was thinking ok wtf did I just do. So I thought maybe it was the Toogle switch. Red was hooked into the HVAC HI 30A Fuse. Unplugged it and got a little spark but nothing serious. White cord was just dangling on the floor. Black wire was grounded on a piece of metal. Then It dawned on me that those wires were useless in this equation since it was part of the system before. So I yanked them out and threw them away. came back and the Heater started working. Took the key out of the ignition and waited 2 minutes tried it again and it stopped working again. waited 5 minutes tried it again and now the heater is on at full strength but no radio. So i went back to the Cabin fuse box and took out the Radio AMP fuse, inspected it and it was perfect, plugged it back in and the radio worked.

So now not only do I have my heat and radio working but talk about a weird experience. I have no idea what just happened. Motor seems to be fine maybe a short wire or something I can not explain... Please share your ideas with me..

As far as the Windshield washer fluid still nothing but being in NY weather is not allowing me to work on it at this time
