My wife wanted a new car, she dosent like the pontiac at all for some reason. So i took some of our income tax money and went and got her one of these. At first she hated it, but after she sat in it she looked at me and said "i want it". So a week later here sits the new car at my friends apartment.

2012 Chevy Cruze ECO. 1.4L turbo w/ 6-speed manual. Color is Granite Black Metallic with black and red interior. Took a trip from Ft. Riley, KS to De Soto, Mo in one tank and got an average of 45mpg going 70mph the whole way. and only cost us $36 to fill up on premium.

She also made the mistake of telling me if i bought her that Cruze than i can have anything i want within our budget. So now my mind is searching for my next car. I sold the Pontiac to my mom.

UPDATE:
Well i went and got my toy. Bought a 1988 GMC Suburban 4x4 for $1,000. Has a rebuilt engine and a set of brand new tires on it. THis will be our off road toy. Im thinking about changing front and rear bumpers, 4" lift and 35" tires. Eventually gunna get a Dana 60 front and chevy 14 bolt rear with air lockers and on board air as well. But for now i wanna fix some of the rust on it and paint it black and rhino line the rockers.

Re: Wifes New Car

I would never see that car, my wife would steal the car keys and drive it. I know whatever i get it has to be a manual trans. I would like to try to find something for road course and auto-cross.

Re: Wifes New Car

^^^ meh, I've seen alot worse. If everything is fixed it would be worth alot more.

I had a friend with a camaro that got flooded, its only damage was sucked up water and hydro locked (for a short time, he pulled the plugs after it was towed back to his house and blew out the water, ran fine). When he claimed the insurance records trying to get the interior fixed back, he was denied and it was listed as totalled.

Nice burban. Too bad the engines rebuilt.. this thing is screaming for a turbo diesel! :D

Either way I like it, always wanted to restore one
Best of luck to you!
