UPDATE!!!! There was a valve the dropped in the head. Leaking coolant in one of the cylinders, 2 cylinders had no compression. I found this out a few days later. The knocking noise was coming from a rocker in the head. The bottom end of the motor was still flawless. I never fixed the car. I drove it for another 5 thousand miles running that way. When I had the chance I bought a new car. A 2001 Pontiac grand prix gtp. The new car is pretty amazing. It is white with 150,00 miles. I will post pictures of the car today, I bought the car over 1 month ago.

last night driving home my car tried to stall a few times at a red light and my check engine last was flashing red and at different times yellow. Well normally my check engine light is always on because of my exhaust leak. well anyways I drive another block to get it to a gas station. Well I uploaded a video on there for you guys to see. If you need anymore I will be more than glad to get some.

03 grand prix
all stock
209,000 miles
last tune up in march
fresh oil change less than 2000 miles ago
new radiator 2000 miles ago
tranny has been going out.
the only thing done to the car is wheels 18's on a 245/45 tire

Your motor is gone?, did you look under the bed, most things end up under the bed. :th_biggrin2:

No metal shavings on the dipstick. But there is a def. miss. as well. If the motor is gone its time for a milzy motorsports 3.8SC conversion :th_nanana: oh and replaced the lower intake gasket and all the hoses and radiator in the car when we did the tune up in March. oh to clarify things I have been through two radiators since March.

true on milzy I could get everything cheaper else where. When we did the LIM I went ahead and replaced the radiator with the hoses and everything else in the cooling system. I bought the car after the previous owner blew it. The oil was mixing with the radiator it was all boiled and gunked up on the radiator cap but never had coolant in the pan. The second time I replaced it one of the connectors were leaking on the radiator.

The overlay is red. There isn't multiple colors of check engine lights.

Post is pretty damn confusing. Because you also can't run on 3 cylinders well enough to drive 5 miles, skip the thought of 5,000.
