that sh!t doesn't matter, just replace the gasket if you are that worried about it

hey dude. sorry for the crap photo.

heres a clearer shot, not the gasket but the center small hole at the bottom of the bore. the plastic lip is cracked.

this hole is a dead hole, but infront of the stove top.

you should be able to get an upper intake manifold pretty cheap if you look around on here and get a used one

I think there was something wrong with the dormans

do you remember what?

ive read alot of mixed reviews on both Dorman and ATP. dealing with bolt holes not lining up and over torquing causing cracks.

been looking for updated info to see if ither company has resolved the issues.

but i did pick up Dorman kit, and the UIM is noticeably heavier then my stock one.

Subscribed...wanting to know the same thing. I'm also doing the LIM and UIM gaskets, as well as valve covers and all new hoses.

I just finished mine this morning. i ended up using the Felpro lower and upper gaskets with Dorman intake manifold. also valve covers, FP regulator, plugs & wires, water pump.

So far so good with a test drive, no leaks.

i only had one bolt hole on the Dorman that was a hair harder to get in.

but i was worrried about the UIM gasket fitting the Dorman intake. both Felpro and the Dorman gasket seemed short to lock in to the intake. with a little force they both did, not sure if thats normal. once torqued, nothing seemed to snap or break. so i hope its good :)

also hope this fixes my warm start sputter..
