Twin engine gtp powered custom car runs 8s

Enjoyed many 8.6 passes @ 162 mph. Pretty consistent.
Upped the boost on the last pass and ran 8.5 but backed off at 900 feet. Data says it should have been 8.3x or 8.4 low.
All in all pretty happy with the car. Track was too slippery to add any more boost. That's why I backed off on the last pass, I was spinning all four all the way down the track. The first 300 feet hooked hard but then it was all over.
Almost clipped the beams at the end lol.

Zzp gp as awesome as it is would be a 9 sec car here. Its pretty useless to run fwd as our tracks have very little prep. 1800lbs 1000hp fwds sometimes have a hard time reaching 9s... i've seen a high 8 sec fwd and was a 1300hp civic with wheelie bars a pro setup.

My goal is 7 sec 1/4 mile at 180mph at my local track. Car has the power but have a hard time hooking even with four slicks.

My point is hard to compare results of very powerful cars at different track especially one that is of the highest caliber vs ours.

Ran 8.3 this weekend at 165mph at medium boost. Was going to crank it but the arp bolts on the meziere flexplat got loose on the rear engine. Had to call it quits on the 7 second goal for this year.
Was confident to achieve the goal before the problem occured. The trans were working well. Got some great footage...

for the front trans the special clutches and VB from tep trans did some wonders. We installed ourselves here at the shop. The shift isnveey crisp and has held over 700hp without failure.

Rear 4t80e we made a custom cover for more fluid and prevent starvation at high G force. Worked awesome stable pressure.

Holy smokes thats a wild ride! I bet you do start getting into aerodynamics country at 150+. Kudos to the driver, what a handful.

I'm the driver.
You can say it can be a handful. Before I redid the alignment it was a little hairy to say the least.
With the GTP wheels vs the Nascar Wheels (Narrower stance) it helped stability. On my last outing it spun like hell and drifted but it was completely controllable.
Before it kinda had a mind of it's own.

Thanks for the nice comments. I know what to do next year for better results...more rpm 12 inch slicks better shocks fancier power management and of course the body for downforce...

Its a totally different car..

The gtp was a unibody stock car with partially gutted interior.

This one is a completely custom built car.
