Twin Engine GTP First runs at the dragstrip !

In order to keep my trans alive, I force them to start in 2nd gear. It's easier on parts not having to shift to 2nd gear.
It worked very well in the 11.0 Parts car.
So I figured I do in the Twin Engine. On the street the car hooked so hard it was unreal. The little wheel spin helped launch it hard.

At the strip the 2nd gear launch needed a lot of boost to be effective especially on the rear engine.
I did no burnout for my 2 passes.

1st pass ever in the car with a low boost launch and no spin
10.0 @ 140 mph
With a slow 1.7 60 foot (normally 1.5 on the street)
6.5 sec 1/8 mile @ 110 mph !
Yes 110 mph in 6.5 seconds ! Actual mph was 112 in the GPS performance meter which shows the true speed (more accurate than the track's timers.

It rains for a while and then the track is super slippery and still wet. I attempt a pass...
I was spinning all four till the 1000 feet mark 3/4 way down the track. Felt amazing but lots of spin.
2nd Pass is a 10.02 @ 141 mph !
Incredible considering a still damp/wet track.

So damn impressive its not even a joke. Give you huge props for a unique build that runs the way it does at thetrack with little work done.

I really want to see what this will do on a sticky track...with more boost... Damn that thing hauls!
With a 1st gear start ET would have many tenths quicker. The track was sticky at first before the rain. But I only got one run in at lower boost on the launch.
2nd gear starts are king on the street but with the glue, I lost time off the line.

On my 3rd run I did up the boost a little but I broke the rear input shaft unfortunately. Now I'm shopping a trans or maybe even a 4t80E swap.

Sign up for pinks all out, twin turbo 3.8l grand prix. So it's a little miss leading but I bet they like your et and think why not. Just wait till tech inspection for the raised eyebrows.

Thanks guys ! It's an incredible feeling behind the wheel. The sound is really crazy inside. The camera couldn't relay at all what it was inside the cabin.
The acceleration at the 60 foot mark and on is something else.

I just reviewed my high performance GPS numbers and here are the results:

BTW at the shop the nickname for the car is Poor man's Veyron.
So let's compare the real Veyron numbers with my Poor man's Veyron.

These are verified actual results by a test company on the 1001HP Veyron (Bugatti's claimed numbers are better)

Veyron curb weight (4150lbs + driver) Same as my GTP (4350lbs with driver 200lbs)

Veyron W16 quad turbo
0-60mph 2.9 seconds
0-100 mph 5.9 seconds
1/4 mile ET 10.8 @ 140 mph Car & driver

Twin Engine GTP W12 Twin Turbo
0-60 mph 2.4 seconds
0-100 mph 5.0 seconds
10.0 @ 141 mph on the 1st try ever lol

The Newest Veyron Super Sport 1200HP is closer in acceleration but the GTP as edge until the 1/4 mile mark.
The Veyron Obviously would walk it over 150 mph and win a top speed contest hands down but as far as usable acceleration I've got it covered.
Poor man's Veyron wins !! haha

Man this car will crush some numbers !

10k maybe but that does count the parts car testing and i owny shop so the fab labor is less. To build one for a customer would be 18k
