Turn signal problem

Hello all:
I have a problem on my 96 Grand Prix with the left turn signal. Dash indicator blinks, front signal light blinks , but the rear one does not. Its not the bulb since it flashes with the hazards on. I'm thinking there is a burnt wire between the multifunction switch and the rear tail light. Can anyone tell me if there are separate wires from the switch to the front and rear signal lights, and if so, what are the color of wires to check in the steering column, and could I just wire the front signal light to the rear one if I can find the right color wires?

It sounds like a wiring problem for sure. I'm not really sure about the wring of these cars just yet, not had to look into that area

Take the bulb/socket out and see if any of the wires look burnt or if the inside of the socket where the bulb sits in looks burnt. My old dodge had this same problem, the bulb sockets were burnt up some how :/ So start with that and if all looks fine, then it might just be a wiring problem.

Not the bulb or socket, as it lights up fine when the hazards are on. As far as I can tell, the front signal light and indicator are on one cct, and the rear is on another. Just need to know the wire colors so I can confirm where the open is.

Look up the wiring diagram. See if this model has separate wires to each corner. If it does. Check to see if that wire is getting power. If not, a new multifunction switch is in your future
If it is providing power. You have a bad spot in your wiring. Which is a pain to find.

Thanks all, fixed it by splicing the front and rear wires together. You were right, it was a bit of a pain finding the right wires, but the result was worth it.
