turbo info

Ok I know gtp runs like 7-8 psi of boost from the sc. I was wanting to know if I would be able to switch over to a turbo setup and run around the same amount of boost. I know sc vs turbo boost is different. Maybe alittle less boost from the turbo. I know turbos are more efficient. What would I need fuel, spark, and tuning wise?
With that low of boost I wasn't going to worry about a intercooler
All info is wanted and needed thanks

More than that Mike. You need a built trans to run turbo, otherwise you'll blow through stock tranies way easily.

I thought about that and I have a friend that is a certified ase tranny builder. I was going to have him build me one with better gear chain, hardened input and 4th gear shaft, shift kit

Sure you can run that same amount of boost. You put "X" PSI spring in the wastegate then you can control more boost from there with a boost controller. FWIW most just do a 10 PSI spring and then when they are ready, increase boost from there. You can easily run a turbo kit without the intercooler if you want. It's just going to limit you on how much boost you push, but sounds like you just want to get in the game and work from there. That's a good starting point.

You are going to want at minimum 42lb injectors which will limit you roughly to 400ish flywheel horsepower. With that it would be a good idea to at minimum put a better fuel pump in there such as a racetronix.

Well the tranny will be built with parts from triple edge and have my buddy do it to save on labor.
I just want to run 7-8 psi on a turbo and see what I can make with that vs the sc. The sc will be eliminated so that drag on the motor will be gone and free up power.
Sounds like I would be good with the 42# injectors cuz I don't plan on going that high for power. I can get a wastegate and Bov no problem. Oil line and other parts from zzp and I got another friend that has a turbonetics t3t4 I can get. I was looking at the walbro 255 pump for fuel.
What could I do for tuning? I know I could get a pcm from zzp

to get the most power and run the safest, a custom tune is always the best.
the problem with canned tunes is that they are pretty generic. they arent in YOUR car tuning to your EXACT specs, and they cant monitor everything. to get the most power while remaining safe a custom tune is needed.
