Tuning 60 pound injectors

I've been reading a lot about different ways to tune my E85 setup's 60# injectors. I think so much that I am confusing myself. I wanted to see what the opinions are here, on our specific platform. I know this has been asked before but I wanted to bring it up again. I am using HPT. Does anyone have specific tables that need to be changed.
I read the Defacto guide and its good information but doesn't go into detail of the methods with bigger injectors. Any help is appreciated.

This way is for the ecotech guys and I am not sure how much pertains to the 3800.

Ok that was easy enough to change. I took (62-36)/36 and multiplied the table by 1.72222. I used 62 because from what I have been reading that is usually where these injectors flow at. I'm going out in a bit and will flash it.

I'm filling up on e85 tomorrow and have my HPT setup ready to scan. Are there any channels I should add to the scan???

Looks fine.

I maybe wouldn't have it start flashing red once you hit over 100kpa, because anytime you saw boost it would go red. That would just annoy me anyway.

I think I scaled something wrong. Maybe too high on the injectors. It is running very lean. Approximately +20 on both the STFT and LTFT. I'm going to put the injector flow rate closer to stock and see where that puts me.

Did you change your stoich to match the fuel you are running?

Are you watching your wideband to confim it's lean?

You also better off switching to lambda and not using AFR when tuning with E85.

All I changed is the injector flow rate table. Unfortunately I do not have a wideband as of yet. I just scaled the stock injectors by 1.30 and it got closer it was around +7.2 LTFT.
I have not changed stoich. I have not seen much info for doing that on the 3800. I am not quite sure how to change it.

I'd bump it again by a few more percent and call it a day. I'd feel better about putting a fuel pressure gauge on it than a wideband, as you really dont "need need" to make sure it has a perfect afr on e85 although its nice. I have tuned alot of 3800s without a wideband using the method you are without issues, or sacrificing any power.

I subtracted 5% and multiplied the stock table by 1.25. Still in the positive. My laptop battery got too low so I am charging it now. I am going 1.20 x stock and that should get me closer to zero. If it does I will take a scan log and start learning how to tune the maf and spark tables.

Do any of you have a chart/histogram layout that has all the information we need for scan that you wouldn't mind sharing. I'm trying to look for tuorials but wanted to see if any layouts were available in the meantime.

Anything relevant for tuning is all you need.

The standard RPM, TPS, IAT, ECT, knock retard, timing advanced, fuel trims, commanded AFR, a wideband, injector pulse width, MAP kpa, MAF hz.

Then just make it custom to fit your needs. I literally leave all the default location stuff like it is and just change or add a few things in. Only time I custom make something is if I want to log very specific channels for some special tuning I am trying to do.

I tried to use the "Table modifier- The scan data thingy" with HPT and unfortunately HPT doesn't allow the export of my maf table in the editor. Anyone know a way around this? I want to try and get this thing tuned. Any help is appreciated. I would be willing to pay for personalized help showing me how to tune this properly with HPT.

You don't need to export anything in hpt. It has all the tools you need within the program. What version of the software are you running?

There is a histogram that calculates maf error % from your fuel trims. You can then multiply the maf error info into your maf table.

Ok thanks, when I get home today I will look into that and try to figure it out. Sorry if these questions seem stupid!!
I found a tune on the HPT websites repository that closely resembles my setup but it is from an 03 not an 04. It is a bit aggressive but I thought of copying the maf and timing tables over from that and see if it works. I will have to make sure they are compatible first.

I would stay on the conservative side with my timing until I had fueling dialed in.
