Trunk light doesnt work on 2002 gtp

The trunk light on my 02 gtp just quit working I put a new bulb in and it still doesn't work has anybody had this problem or know what is wrong?
 


I had an intermittent issue with mine a few years back. Traced it down to a bad connection at the latch on the trunk lid; the two wire plug (12v and BCM ground). If I wiggled it, I could make the light flicker. The plug had loose connections, so I got some pliers and tightened them up. Been working fine ever since.
